I got to spend a sunny afternoon in February with Julie & Mike. Being the outdoorsy type they suggested we hangout at the Scarborough Bluffs, the closest thing Toronto has to mountains haha, and I was totally into the idea. My Blundstones were the ideal shoe for our hike that includes sand, mud, dirt, cliffs, grass etc. It’s always great when the couples I work with let go of their hesitation and dive head first into the experience. Julie & Mike’s boots got a few battle scars along the way but in the end it was well worth it since we got to explore spaces and places that few other people were at, giving us a more intimate and freeing experience.
Being by the lake during Golden Hour in the winter can lead to some surreal colours and beautiful scenery. The light was literally golden yellow at one point, and with the moon visible in the super clear skies we were treated to a calm sunset in the midst of the crazy urban chaos surrounding the Scarborough Bluffs. Winter Engagement sessions, lifestyle sessions, whatever you call them, can be so amazing because the weather and light can be so incredibly unpredictable and unique.
