I met Alexx & Jason last year during Tara & Devin's wedding at Madsen's Gardens. Like their friends, they also live out in Edmonton, Alberta, and when they found out I was going to be spending the better part of a month in the Canadian Rockies visiting Ryanne's family for Xmas, they immediately suggested we set out to explore the mountains in Banff, Alberta. Originally being an island kid, I've always had a strong fondness for the majestic and captivating landscapes surrounding me. Although it's much colder in Alberta than where I'm from, I can confidently say that the atmosphere created by nature's wonders had similar effects on my subconscious mind. It was something else to say the least. I'm grateful to cross paths with people like Alexx & Jason (who both had this effortlessly cinematic look throughout the entire shoot), thanks to them I had a solid excuse to venture out into the wilderness of the Canadian Rockies to celebrate their love and upcoming wedding. Although I had fun in the sub 0 temperatures, I must admit I'm equally as excited to fly down to Mexico next winter where these two plan on eloping at their family's private villa... talk about contrast to the snowy mountaintops of Banff!
