Location: Minimalist Ranch Elopement in Los Angeles & Malibu California U.S.A.
There are few places in the world that match Southern California’s natural atmosphere and landscapes. It’s always so important to elope in a place that has meaning to you. Skylar grew up in Orange County so eloping in Los Angeles and Malibu not only made sense logistically, but it also had significant meaning to the bride and groom. Day 1 began with iced coffees and casually getting ready before heading to the Grass Room DTLA in downtown Los Angeles where the bride and groom held a small intimate ceremony for friends and family before enjoying a private family-style dinner. Day 2 was focused on the bride and groom as their adventure elopement reached new heights as we ventured off to Malibu to explore a clifftop ranch that overlooked the ocean and the rolling mountain tops of Southern California.
Taking advantage of the breathtaking sights over the rolling hills and mountains along the coast of Southern California, the bride and groom took the morning to drive up the hillsides of Malibu to arrive early and get ready in neighbouring trailers at the ranch that overlooked an edge of a cliff. Utterly isolated away from civilization, the bride and groom shared in quiet moments where they could say their vows to one another and share in their unique and unforgettable wedding day experience. The bride and groom’s immediate families joined in on the adventure before ending the day with lunch by the ocean and before waiving goodby to the bride and groom as they embarked on a week long road trip along the Pacific Coast Highway in a vintage VW camper van.
